TRAVERSE PAYOFF MACHINE
Maintenance and Trouble Free:
Our extremely simple design uses a minimum of parts. Shift after shift, you will enjoy continuous uninterrupted production with virtually no maintenance down time.

Easy to Set-Up:
Whether it is .008 x 1/4 soft copper strip or 1/16 x 1 1/2 Cold Rolled Steel strip, our machine is easy to set-up. Load the coil, advance the material through the dancer area, adjust the stock tension, and feed the press. It's that simple.

Automatic Shut Off:
When the traverse wound spool is empty the dancer arm will release and shut the machine off automatically.

Versatility:
Equipped with a variable speed control, our machine can be used in line with virtually any continuous strip feed press, four slide machine, spring maker, hi-speed stamping press, etc.

Space Saving Storage:
Traverse wound coils require less floor space than pallets of pancake material.

COIL HANDLING SOLUTIONS
Turnstiles:
Torrington Metal Products produces a broad range of turnstiles, ranging from single arm manual units to multi-armed models with power stripping and powered elevation. All models are custom made to order and accomodate up to 20,000 lbs.

Downenders:
For the warehouse, we offer the "V" bed downender. This unit easily takes coils from the vertical to the horizontal position (or reverse). A traveling downender can be used to take the coil, directly from the re-wind arbor, transport, and downend it. Other downenders are featured in automated conveying systems. They offer hydraulic raise and lower, powered horns to receive the coil, gravity rolls or powered roller conveyor to interface with roller conveying systems.
